Before You Move: Reserve Temporary No Parking Signs

One of the biggest challenges when moving in Jersey City is finding space for a moving truck. We strongly recommend reserving Temporary No Parking (TNP) signs in advance to ensure your movers have adequate access to your building on moving day.

Temporary No Parking signs can be obtained through Jersey City’s Parking Division and should be arranged as early as possible before your move date. Many streets require signs to be posted in advance in order to be enforceable.

Residential Street Parking Permits

If you plan to park on the street, you may need a Jersey City residential parking permit. Many neighborhoods enforce permit parking restrictions, and residents are generally required to obtain permits to park beyond posted time limits.

Please note that your, Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration, Auto Insurance must all reflect your Jersey City address before a residential parking permit can be issued. Link
