HOLIDAY TRADITIONS

With the holiday season upon us, our team is excited for our favorite traditions this time of year. We wish you and yours a fantastic holiday season filled with your favorite traditions!

Elizabeth: Every year, my younger brother and his family host Christmas Eve in NJ. They invite extended family, friends, and neighbors that don’t have relatives in the area, – they even allow me to bring guests! It’s a beautiful range of loved ones of all ages and religions. I’m most grateful for grateful for his 3 little cherubs and for the little ones that are beyond excited! After dinner, we sing the 12 days of Christmas and if you’re lucky enough, you will be given a solo. It’s festive and hysterical after some holiday cheer!

Amber: My traditions now are certainly a lot different from when I was a child in the Midwest! So we honor one of my husband’s childhood traditions by celebrating his love of skiing. We wake up Christmas, do gifts, have lunch, and then we have typically driven the car up to Vermont for the week. But this year we are going on a plane- to Big Sky Montana! We love skiing and celebrating New Years on a mountain is a lot of fun.

Steve: My favorite Holiday tradition is to bake Italian cookies with my families 100 year old recipes while listening to Christmas music and drinking wine!

Mark, Erin, & Kate: When our kids were young, our families lived down the hall from each other and one year we started what’s become our favorite holiday tradition. After we open gifts in the morning, our families make sandwiches for the Hoboken Homeless Shelter, then meet up and take a “Christmas walk” together to deliver them. They are distributed when the shelter shows “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Christmas Day. It’s a tradition we’ve shared for 15 years and we look forward to carrying it on.
