At the 2024 Keller Williams Family Reunion, Gary Keller addressed the current state of the US real estate market. In 2023, the average national home price reached $390K, with projections suggesting a rise to $398K in 2024. Prices are currently 9.3% above the historic trendline, which is based on an annual appreciation of 4%. It would take 2-3 years of stable prices for the trendline to realign with current pricing levels. Additionally, personal savings rates have declined as consumers continue to spend, often without making wise investment decisions that could secure their future financial success. Gary Keller recommended, “If people would just save 10%, the whole economy would straighten itself out.”
